School of Talent is different because we teach music with purpose. Our lessons are personal, modern, and focused on helping students grow as musicians and as people.
Here, students do more than learn notes, songs, or technique. They build confidence, discipline, creativity, and a real connection with music. Whether a student is taking piano, voice, guitar, drums, or another instrument, our goal is to make every lesson feel meaningful, exciting, and connected to something bigger.
We are also a performance-based music school. As students grow, they may have opportunities to play in recitals, bands, showcases, and community events. This helps them experience music not just as something they practice, but as something they can share.
At School of Talent, we want students to feel seen, encouraged, and challenged in the right way. That is what makes the learning experience special.
School of Talent offers private lessons and programs in Piano, Guitar, Voice, Saxophone, Drums, Ukulele, Bass, Clarinet, Flute, Violin, Visual Arts, Tutoring, and Band.
Our programs are designed to help students grow in skill, confidence, creativity, and self-expression. Whether a student wants to learn an instrument, develop their voice, explore visual arts, receive academic support, or experience playing with others in a band setting, we aim to provide a supportive and inspiring place where their talent can grow.
Yes. School of Talent welcomes adult students of all levels, from complete beginners to experienced musicians who want to refine their craft or reconnect with music.
Some adults come to us because they have always wanted to learn piano, guitar, voice, drums, or another instrument. Others want to sing with more confidence, return to music after many years, or simply make music part of their life again.
Our goal is to make lessons feel personal, encouraging, and meaningful. No matter your age or experience level, music can still become a source of growth, creativity, and joy in your life.
School of Talent’s instructors are carefully selected for their musical experience, teaching ability, and passion for helping students grow. Each teacher holds a music degree or has at least five years of teaching experience. Beyond their qualifications, our teachers are chosen for their patience, professionalism, attitude, and ability to connect with students in a positive and encouraging way.
We believe a great teacher does more than teach notes, songs, or technique. A great teacher helps students feel confident, supported, and excited to keep learning.
Music lessons at School of Talent are typically 30 minutes or 1 hour long, depending on the student’s age, level, goals, needs, schedule, and preferences.
For many younger beginners, 30-minute lessons are a great way to build focus, confidence, and consistency. For students who are more advanced, preparing for performances, or looking for deeper growth, 1-hour lessons may be a better fit.
During the free evaluation lesson, we can help recommend the lesson length that makes the most sense for each student.
Lessons are held once a week, unless the student chooses to take additional time. For example, some students prefer two lessons per week or longer sessions to progress faster, prepare for performances, or receive more focused support. The best option depends on the student’s goals, schedule, and level of commitment.
Yes, we include music theory as part of our curriculum to help students understand how music works, not just how to play notes.
Depending on the student’s instrument, level, and goals, this may include reading music, rhythm, chords, scales, ear training, songwriting basics, and other important fundamentals.
Our goal is to make music theory feel practical, useful, and connected to the songs students are learning, so they can become more confident and complete musicians.
We typically find that age 6 and up gives students the best balance of focus, coordination, and fun for private lessons.
That said, every child is different. Some younger students may be ready earlier depending on their attention span, interest, and personality.
If your child is younger than 6, feel free to reach out. We can help you explore the best option and decide whether now is the right time to begin.
Yes. Performance is an important part of the School of Talent experience. As students grow, they may have opportunities to perform in recitals, showcases, band settings, and community events.
We believe performing helps students build confidence, purpose, and a deeper connection with what they are learning. Music becomes more meaningful when students get to share it with others.
That is one of the reasons we offer a free trial lesson. During the first lesson, we can meet the student, learn about their interests, and help guide the family toward the instrument or program that makes the most sense.
Some students already know what they want. Others need help discovering what feels natural, exciting, and realistic for their age, personality, and goals.
Not always. It depends on the instrument and the student’s goals. If a student is just getting started, we can help guide the family on what may be needed before making a purchase.
Our goal is to help students begin in a way that feels exciting, realistic, and not overwhelming. The free trial lesson can be a great time to ask questions about instruments, practice at home, and the best next step.
No. Many of our students begin with little or no previous experience. Our teachers meet students where they are and help them build strong foundations step by step.
Whether the student is starting from zero or already has experience, our goal is to make the learning process feel encouraging, personal, and meaningful.
